Here are some of our waiata resources for you to use in your own contexts, whether it’s at home, kōhanga/preschool or kura/school.

Mā: Matariki for Tamariki

Thanks to support from NZ on Air Music, our latest album was written and released this year (2025), especially for our youngest tamariki! Thirteen tracks that teach about the nine individual stars, and the Matariki season as a whole!

The album features a range of upbeat waiata, as well as a lullabies, and action songs. Click on the image below for more info on the album, and resources.

Te Mātahi o te Tau

This waiata was written and released in 2022, in honour of the first Matariki public holiday, here in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

It’s a simple, catchy song to help teach tamariki how they can celebrate Matariki with their friends and whānau through the use of three kupu/words:

Whakamaumahara (Remember) | Whakanui (Celebrate) | Whakariterite (Prepare)
